It started with 12 Bibles and a bus ride to Makoko.
From a single bus ride to fifty-two nations.
In late 2014, a small group from a Lagos fellowship boarded a danfo bus to Makoko with twelve Bibles in a backpack. The plan was simple: walk the waterfront, sit with whoever wanted to talk, and give a Bible to anyone who didn't already have one. By the end of that afternoon, every Bible was gone — and forty-three more people had asked when we'd return.
What began as a single Saturday became a Sunday. Then a monthly outreach. Then a print order. Within eighteen months, BFAM was operating in three states with a network of volunteers who'd grown up under the same conviction: that the Word is meant to reach every hand, not just every shelf.
Today we work alongside churches, schools, hospitals, and correctional facilities across fifty-two nations. The mandate has not changed. The bus rides still happen. We just print the Bibles ourselves now.
To place a printed Bible in the hands of every person who needs one, at no cost to them, anywhere in the world.
A world where no one says "I have never owned a Bible" — because we got there first.
Faith. Dignity. Accountability.
Faith.
We act on the conviction that God's Word changes lives. Every Bible we place is an act of obedience — not strategy.
Dignity.
Every request is treated with respect. No one who needs a Bible should feel like a charity case, no matter where or how they ask.
Accountability.
Every donation is tracked. Every Bible is logged. We publish what we do — and we stand behind every figure on the page.
Led by people who've been to the field.
